The Strawberry Line
Café and Cycles
The Strawberry Line in Yatton is a not for profit organisation which employs local people within the community, offering employment and training to people with learning disabilities.
I was delighted to be able to support the Strawberry Line with a complementary photoshoot as part of a promotion I was running, and we set to work capturing the story of both sides of the business: the cafe with beautifully home-prepared food and cakes, and the cycle hire.
I worked with The Strawberry Line management to brainstorm what aspects they needed capturing to add to their website and tell their story.
It was important that we showcased the lovely staff members both at the café and cycle hire – they were really wonderful!
The shoot itself was pretty fast-paced, and we packed a lot in – being mindful not to disrupt the normal running of the café. It also involved me learning to ride the trike, and transport my photographic equipment in the basket as we set off along the Strawberry Line.
“The Strawberry Line Cycle Project were very fortunate and won a competition for a shoot with SuperFunkyPenguin. The shoot was well prepared with Adèle before the day, so when photo day came, it ran incredibly well and the photos we received after were brilliant – going to be such a help to our project.” – Sally Willcock, Strawberry Line Café & Cycles
