What happens once you’ve booked brand photography session?

You’re ready to take your brand to the next level, to make a statement that resonates with your audience and leaves a lasting impression. But before you step into the spotlight, let’s make sure you’re fully prepared for your time in front of the lens.

I’ll be honest with you – when you book a session with me, there’s a little homework involved. But trust me, every client I’ve worked with has raved about how much it helped them prepare!

You’ll receive a brand workbook, carefully crafted to guide you through each step of the process.

First up, we’ll define your brand message. Take a moment to reflect on what sets your brand apart, its values, and its visual identity. What story do you want your images to tell?

Next, we’ll map out your must-have shots. Whether it’s you with a client, your tools of the trade or candid behind-the-scenes shots, or a varied mix, let’s make sure we capture everything you need.

Then, it’s time to brainstorm your brand story. What narrative do you want your images to convey? Are you all about innovation, tradition, or building a sense of community? Let’s ensure your brand personality shines through.

Now, let’s gather your props and outfits. Think about what reflects your brand’s vibe and style, and gather anything that will add visual interest to your photos. Consider creating a “prop box” to collect items in the weeks leading up to your shoot.

After you’ve completed your homework, we’ll have a planning session together. We’ll discuss the details of your shoot, from who will be involved to what to wear and where to shoot. You’ll receive a detailed shoot plan, so you’ll know exactly what to expect on the day.

Finally, on the day of the shoot, relax and trust in the process. We’ll work at a comfortable pace, making adjustments as we go. Feel free to express yourself and have fun with the creative process – after all, that’s where the magic happens!

Keen to explore where your brand fits in this evolving picture? Let’s connect and craft a visual story that’s uniquely you.

Case Study: John West Contractors

JOHN WEST (CONTRACTORS) LIMITED is a family run building contractors based in Weston-Super-Mare.  They were in the process of looking to completely overhaul their website, and needed fresh, up to date and professional imagesto show potential clients the kind of work they carry out, and the care and attention to detail they put into their projects.

I worked with John West over a period of months, with two half day and one full day shoot across multiple locations.

In this way we were able to capture photos for their website of their head office in Weston Super Mare – including details like the wind turbine which powers the site, as well as the team members – and visited several building sites and completed sites.

I captured a comprehensive and varied bank of images to tell the visual story of how the team work, and the  high standard projects are finished to.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time working with John West, and I collaborated with Anorak Cat Web Design to ensure we captured all the photos needed for John West’s beautiful new website.

"Thank you for all your help and patience throughout this process I personally really appreciate the way you have worked with us and made the process easy and fun. "
