What’s a Brand Photoshoot Like?

Have you ever wondered what a brand photoshoot is like?

Once we’ve planned your shoot together, and you’ve got everything you need sorted – outfit, props, extra people – it’s time to start capturing the magic.

I don’t take a heavy hand when it comes to posing you, because I believe we all look better when we’re feeling comfortable and natural.

Instead, I might give you something to think about, do or chat about.

Brand photoshoots usually involve a few different locations to add a variety of images to your portfolio. This will all have been discussed, agreed and arranged in advance. I’ll have a good idea for what I’m going for, but am always keeping an eye out for extra opportunities on the day.

We work at a comfortable speed, tweaking backgrounds, props and outfits as we go. You’ll have the opportunity for some different outfits if you wish – which also helps add variety and flexibility into your final bank of images.

The photoshoot itself is designed to be fun and engaging, and any pre-shoot nerves will soon evaporate. We’ll chat as we work, and I’ll explain what I’m doing along the way. You’re welcome to look at shots on the back of my camera as we go along if you like, though some clients prefer not to.
