NEWSFLASH! Emerging from (Markety) Hibernation

Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun?!!  Unbelievably it’s been three years since I last did a market stall.  To be fair quite a lot has happened in those three years… two house moves, a wedding and a baby are enough to keep anyone busy.

I’d decided to put the Markets on hold indefinitely, and focus on going back through my catalogue of photos and actually sort them out a bit, and only sell through my Etsy shop, and The Little Red Beetle coffee shop in Wrington, North Somerset.

However, I’ve been persuaded to come out of hibernation by the lovely Ship Shape Craft Fairs.  At the moment I’m only planning on doing one market (10th May at Colston Hall in Bristol), so if you’re interested you’d better make sure you hop, skip and jump down there!  (Ok, the hopping, skipping and jumping are optional…).

Why have I decided to get involved?  It’s a new craft fair, with a slightly different approach than I’ve seen before.  All the stalls will have high quality, locally crafted goods, and there will be workshops for you to get involved in, too.  It looks fresh, fun and exciting…and to be honest, I just couldn’t resist!

If you’ve popped along to my previous market stalls, you’ll notice a difference.  Photos Galore in various shapes, sizes, colours and formats.  From canvases to mounted prints, and brand shiny new greetings cards and postcards.

Much of what you’ll be able to buy isn’t available anywhere else.  Exclusive, I tell you, EXCLUSIVE!  What more could you ask for?

My other lovely work (the handmade silver jewellery) is still on ice, waiting until my little one is old enough to (a) not try to eat the files, sandpaper and chemicals, and (b) not require my attention 25 hours a day.

The Ship Shape Craft Fair looks set to be quite an event, with over 30 stalls selling locally crafted products, as well as free interactive craft workshops.  Entry is free too, so what have you got to lose?

Date: 10th May 2015
Time: 10am – 4pm
Venue: Colston Hall, Bristol
Entry Price: FREE-FREE-FREE

There’s a bit more info about the craft fair in this teaser video 🙂
